NEW THIS YEAR: PLEASE READ
We wanted to provide more than just bouquets to our subscribers to truly connect with us and learn about the homesteader and flower farming life. You are part of our community, supporting us in our business, and we want you to fully enjoy and take part in the experience.
This year (2025) we are starting what we are calling Midweek Slowdown on Wednesdays each week on our farmette. We welcome you to come out to our suburban homestead to taste & see what all we create, grow, and steward. We will have activities, space to roam and mingle, and open shop hours for seeing the variety of goods we sell and create. Bring the family, stop by, and slow down your week with us.
No matter where you choose to pick up your subscription, you are always invited to join us on Wednesdays.
PLEASE NOTE:
- If this subscription is being gifted, let us know if you'd like a printable certificate for your recipient! We will determine which option above is best with them directly, or you are welcome to select from the above to pick up / deliver on their behalf.
-Pick ups are scheduled and it is the responsibility of the customer to pick up or send someone in your place. Please communicate at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule and we will do our best to accommodate - but not guaranteed. Please understand that a lot of time and effort goes into growing, planning accurate harvest time, flower conditioning, and arranging for scheduled subscriptions.
- Special event and holiday arrangements are not a part of the subscription program.
- New in 2025: Subscriptions are available at alternative locations for our subscriber's convenience, but do incur a $25 fee per year to offset the expense of us offering this option. Thank you for your understanding!

CSA Flower Subscription FAQs:
What is a CSA?
CSA means community supported agriculture. It's a commitment to your local farmer to support them in their season's investments and upfront costs of seeds, compost, soil, equipment, etc. to get them growing for the year.
All of our blooms are nurtured and grown sustainably, without chemicals, keeping the Earth in mind.
The bouquets are designed with the freshest ingredients from our property and will come to you as large, lush market bouquets, bursting with color, wrapped in craft paper.
By purchasing a flower subscription, not only will you get our gorgeous fresh cut flowers, but you also become part of the positive change to protect the Earth, by reducing the carbon footprint of traditionally purchased flowers, which incur huge transportation, energy, refrigeration and storage costs. We take pride in utilizing no-till, sustainable measures that help regenerate the Earth. And, extra bonus, fresh flowers are shown to increase happiness and mental health. Since the subscription lasts the entire growing season, they also make great gifts! Bring the kids, let them run around with the chickens as you peruse our gardens! We love to have you visit!
Do you offer delivery?
Please send me an email to inquire on delivery fees based on your distance from Lower Burrell - 15068. Email makeitslowshop@gmail.com to specifically request per pickup.
If you need a special delivery to a recipient who isn't on the order for a gift, additional fees will apply. But I would love to be a part of making someone's day, so please don't hesitate to bring me in on that.
When should I pick up?
You can choose a pick up location that is best for you at one of the following:
Preferred: At our micro-farm at (133 Clinton Avenue Lower Burrell) on Wednesdays! We will have the shop open, show you around, let you see the chickens and send you home with the freshest blooms! If Wednesday's don't work - we can do pickup any time with notice. We would love to show you how our little family micro farm operates and give you extras from around the garden as a thank you for visiting! :)
Festa's Market Stand in Plum will be our secondary CSA pickup site for us - open all weekend with local produce and honey options to shop! If this is a convenient location for you, we can schedule your pickups accordingly at this site.
Harvest Moon Coffee & Chocolates in Natrona Heights. Pick ups will be available here Friday-Sunday during business hours.
What kind of flowers are included?
There will be plenty of wildflowers, cottage-inspired blooms, vintage hardy annuals, and aromatic herbs. Varieties include but are not limited to: zinnia, ranunculus, cosmos, statice, feverfew, gomphrena, yarrow, snapdragons, rudbeckia, scabiosa, strawflower, tulips, dahlias, daffodils, foraged blooms and branches...and more!
